This week’s App of the Week is presented by guest blogger Jeremy King from Tracy Suter’s Marketing Research course in Tulsa.
SWOT Analysis is an application that works great on the iPad. It is available for all Apple devices and works great for business professionals, important decisions and projects. It gives the user the ability to organize thoughts using text, symbols, or post notes for add-on information. You have the ability to copy and paste, re-position text anywhere on the page, and add photos. You can add charts and graphs, as well. The app is designed so your work is scaled to standard paper size; this allows no formatting after the document is created.
The user is able to create cards to go along with their SWOT analysis, giving the user the ability to add Post-It notes to highlight important facts. It is a fun way to help brainstorm ideas for projects or business proposals. Another function allows the user to create audio notes along with their cards in the SWOT analysis. In addition, the user can also draw sketches to add to the analysis when proofing or sharing the document.
The app works well with the Keynote app. It allows the user to import their charts directly into Keynote using the copy and paste function. An app that would be similar is brainstorming; manufactured by the same company it offers benefits to any creative person, student or even a busy professional.
The app store has 63 reviews with an average of 2.50 stars. The app has a few bugs, but overall I would personally rate the app 3 stars. There were not any written reviews of this product, but I will include my own. The product performed well, is easily transferred to other programs, and can be downloaded for free in the app store.
